Na krste, ktorý sa konal v stredu v kaplnke v Paláci sv. Jakuba, sa zúčastnilo 22 hostí. Nechýbala ani samotná kráľovná Alžbeta a starý otec jeho „malej“ výsosti princ Charles.
Krstnými rodičmi drobca s urodzeným pôvodom sa stali spolužiak princa Williama a Catherine Oliver Baker. Princ George, ktorý bol pokrstený vodou z rieky Jordán, mal na sebe počas tejto slávnosti oblečenú dievčenskú košieľku.
Ide o repliku krstnej košieľky, ktorú dala pre svoju dcéru ešte v roku 1841 zhotoviť kráľovná Viktória. Je to síce milá tradícia, ale malý princ v nej vyzeral ako rozkošná princeznička :-)
Prvorodený syn princa Williama a Kate Middleton prišiel na svet 22. júla 2013 o 16:24 miestneho času a po narodení vážil takmer 3 800 gramov.
